What is Informal Language and Academic Language?

Informal language is what we use everyday; with our friends, family, sometimes our teachers. We don't put too much thought into our everyday speaking because it often comes naturally. Academic language is what we use in the classroom and the workplace; it is more intentional. It helps us be more concise with our ideas, it conveys information more effectively. Here are some major differences between informal and academic language:
